Dyno Tuning

Dyno tuning is the process of calibrating an engine's performance on a chassis dynamometer - a rolling road that measures power and torque at the wheels. This controlled environment allows precise tuning without the variables of real-world driving conditions. At Luxury Auto Care Dubai, we use a state-of-the-art hub dyno that provides accurate, repeatable power measurements and allows our tuners to adjust ECU parameters in real-time while monitoring engine data.

Our dyno tuning session begins with securing the vehicle to the dynamometer and connecting diagnostic equipment to monitor all engine parameters simultaneously. We run the vehicle through its rev range under controlled load conditions, recording power, torque, air-fuel ratio, boost pressure, ignition timing, and knock sensor activity. This data is used to identify areas where the calibration can be optimised for better performance, smoother power delivery, or improved efficiency. Our tuners make adjustments between runs and verify the effect of each change.

Dyno tuning is particularly valuable after hardware modifications such as intake, exhaust, or turbocharger upgrades, as it allows the ECU calibration to be precisely matched to the new hardware. It is also used for quality verification after ECU remapping to confirm the power gains claimed by the tune. We provide a detailed dyno report showing before and after power curves, peak power and torque figures, and air-fuel ratio data across the rev range. This documentation is valuable for verifying performance improvements and for future reference.
