Turbo Replacement

When a turbocharger has suffered severe damage - such as a seized bearing, cracked housing, or catastrophic shaft failure - replacement is the only viable option. Before installing the new turbo, we inspect and flush the oil supply system to ensure no debris from the failed turbo has contaminated the oil lines. A new turbo failure caused by contaminated oil supply is entirely preventable with proper preparation. We replace the oil feed line if it shows any restriction, flush the oil return line, and replace the oil drain gasket. We also inspect the intercooler for any oil contamination from the failed turbo and clean or replace it as necessary.

After installation, we prime the turbo oil system by cranking the engine without starting it to build oil pressure before the first combustion cycle. We then start the engine and allow it to idle while monitoring oil pressure, coolant flow, and boost pressure. We perform a boost leak test on all charge pipe connections and intercooler hoses to verify system integrity. A road test confirms correct boost delivery, power output, and absence of smoke or unusual noises throughout the operating range.
