The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) is a critical safety system that prevents wheel lock-up during hard braking, maintaining steering control and reducing stopping distances. When the ABS warning light illuminates on your dashboard, it indicates a fault in the ABS system that requires professional diagnosis. At Luxury Auto Care Dubai, we use manufacturer-level diagnostic tools to diagnose ABS faults on all luxury and performance vehicles.

Our ABS diagnostic process begins with reading fault codes from the ABS control module, which is separate from the main engine ECU. We identify which wheel speed sensor, hydraulic valve, or circuit is affected and analyse the fault data to determine the root cause. Common ABS faults include failed wheel speed sensors (often caused by bearing wear or debris), damaged reluctor rings, faulty ABS hydraulic pump or motor, wiring damage to sensor circuits, and control module failures. We test each component individually to confirm the diagnosis before recommending any repairs.

After identifying the fault, we perform the necessary repairs which may include wheel speed sensor replacement, reluctor ring replacement, ABS module repair or replacement, wiring repair, or hydraulic system service. After repair, we clear the fault codes, perform a road test to verify ABS operation, and ensure the ABS light remains off. We also check related systems such as traction control and stability control, which share the same wheel speed sensors and may generate additional fault codes when the ABS system has a problem.
