Downpipe Installation
The downpipe connects directly to the turbocharger's exhaust housing and is one of the most restrictive components in a turbocharged vehicle's exhaust system. Upgrading to a high-flow downpipe with sports catalytic converter or de-cat pipe significantly reduces backpressure immediately after the turbo, allowing it to spool faster and produce more power. At Luxury Auto Care Dubai, we install downpipes from Akrapovic, Milltek, Supersprint, and other quality manufacturers.
High-flow downpipes feature larger diameter tubing, smoother bends, and high-flow catalytic converters (or straight-through designs for track use) that flow significantly more than restrictive factory units. This reduces turbo lag, improves throttle response, and when combined with ECU tuning, provides substantial power gains.
Every downpipe installation includes gasket replacement, proper torque sequence, and a leak test after installation. We recommend ECU retuning after downpipe installation to take full advantage of the reduced backpressure and recalibrate the engine for the improved exhaust flow.
