Brake Disc Replacement

Brake discs (rotors) are the metal surfaces that the brake pads press against to slow and stop the vehicle. Over time, brake discs develop wear patterns, grooves, and thickness variation that compromise braking performance. Discs that are below minimum thickness, warped, or heavily scored must be replaced to maintain safe braking. In Dubai, the combination of extreme heat and frequent braking in traffic accelerates disc wear.

At Luxury Auto Care Dubai, we measure brake disc thickness, check for runout using a dial indicator, and inspect the disc surface for scoring, cracking, and hot spots. If replacement is required, we use OEM-spec discs from manufacturers like Brembo and Zimmermann that match the original equipment specifications for metallurgy, thickness, and venting design. For performance applications, we offer upgraded discs including slotted, drilled, and two-piece designs that improve heat dissipation.

Every brake disc replacement is performed as an axle set - both discs on the same axle are replaced together to ensure even braking force. We also replace the brake pads simultaneously, as new pads on worn discs (or vice versa) will not bed in correctly and can cause noise and vibration. After installation, we check disc runout and perform a bedding-in procedure to establish full pad-to-disc contact.
